Renewable Energy Senior Technical Specialist

Job Description

• Lead electrical design and technical development for renewable energy projects, including solar PV and BESS, from commercial installations to utility-scale developments up to approximately 1,000 MW AC and 2,000 MWh DC.
• Perform and direct steady-state and dynamic power system analyses; review engineering drawings, calculations, and studies using ETAP and preferably OpenDSS, PSCAD, or PSS®E.
• Serve as technical lead for DER projects interconnected at distribution and transmission voltage levels, including commercial and industrial applications from approximately 100 kW AC to 10 MW AC.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a minimum of 10 years of electrical power systems engineering experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Preferred qualifications include NEC, NESC, and IEEE knowledge; medium-voltage, utility interconnection, substation, and protection-scheme experience; a PE license, particularly in Georgia, North Carolina, or Pennsylvania; and NABCEP or similar renewable energy certification.
