Job Description

• Conduct in vitro and in vivo laboratory research on neurological diseases, including stroke, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease, with emphasis on neuroinflammation, epigenetic regulation, microRNAs, ubiquitination, and autophagy.
• Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and laboratory scientists to design, execute, troubleshoot, analyze, and interpret experiments.
• Provide laboratory testing and technical support; document experiments, maintain laboratory notebooks, analyze data, and report results using complex statistical computer software.
• Prepare or contribute to manuscripts and scientific reports; work 8 hours per day/40 hours per week with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends.
• Requires a B.S./B.A. or M.S. in biology, chemistry, or a related science field and 3+ years of research laboratory experience; neurological disease knowledge and rodent surgery/handling experience are preferred.
