Research Scientist, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Drug Discovery

Job Description

• Research Scientist leading inflammatory bowel disease and broader gastrointestinal, autoimmune, and inflammatory drug discovery projects at Takeda's GI2 Drug Discovery Unit in Cambridge, MA.
• Provide technical leadership from project conception through candidate selection; design and execute scientific projects, experiments, assays, and analyses that inform project decisions.
• Apply molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, flow cytometry, human immune-cell and fibroblast culture, cytokine analysis, qPCR, CRISPR/siRNA, and in vitro and in vivo pharmacology techniques.
• Requires a PhD in a scientific discipline, or an MS with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a BS with 8+ years of relevant experience; demonstrated inflammation/immunology research experience is required and IBD experience is a plus.
• Full-time regular employee role in Cambridge, MA, with a base salary of $116,000.00–$182,270.00.
