Research Senior Technician – Molecular Biology and Neurogenetics

Job Description

• Conduct independent molecular, cellular, and biological experiments supporting Molecular Biology and Neurogenetics research, including PCR, gel electrophoresis, assays, cell cultures, and Northern and Western blot analyses.
• Process tissue and blood samples, evaluate laboratory procedures, perform routine laboratory work, and operate laboratory equipment.
• Record, analyze, validate, and summarize research data for grant proposals, manuscripts, publications, posters, abstracts, and progress reports.
• Maintain laboratory records, supplies, specimens, and inventory; initiate procurement requests as needed.
• Train junior research staff and undergraduate/graduate students in research methods and equipment operation; requires 0 years with a Bachelor's Degree, 2 years with an Associate's Degree, or 4 years with a High School Diploma, plus a background check and possible physical/drug screen.
