Job Description

• Engineering internship supporting Xcel Energy’s Mass Market residential energy-efficiency programs in Denver, CO, with a hybrid work policy requiring in-person commuting.
• Provide technical engineering support for carbon reduction, energy-efficiency improvement, electrification, residential equipment analysis, and program implementation.
• Evaluate customer energy projects, analyze energy datasets, automate engineering workflows, support building energy modeling, and contribute to process improvements.
• Must be a current Junior-or-higher student as of Fall 2027 enrolled in an ABET-accredited program pursuing Engineering or Computer Science; work up to 40 hours/week in summer and 20 hours/week during the school year.
• Requires Microsoft Office/Excel proficiency; Python preferred, with data analytics, thermodynamics, and strong communication skills desirable. Pays $21.20–$23.10 per hour; applications due 10/16/26.
