Senior Engineer, Embedded Software

Job Description

• Senior embedded software engineering role developing safety- and security-critical software and controller features for Rockwell Automation programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in Control Logix Motion.
• Hybrid full-time position in Mayfield Heights, OH, with expected on-site work at a Rockwell location Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless business obligations require otherwise.
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience, legal US work authorization without current or future employment visa sponsorship, and typically 5+ years of related/software engineering experience.
• Requires embedded systems, RTOS or Linux, C++/Python, automated testing, Agile/SAFe, CI, Git/Jenkins, debugging, requirements traceability, and industrial protocol experience; IEC 61508 or IEC 62443 experience is preferred.
• Responsibilities span requirements, design, implementation, testing, release, maintenance, technical guidance, continuous improvement, and mentoring.
