Job Description

• Progressive seeks a Senior Insurance Defense Attorney - Bodily Injury for its motor vehicle insurance defense litigation team in Houston, TX.
• Hybrid, full-time role representing Progressive insureds and/or Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels, handling bodily injury litigation from beginning to end.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, litigation reports, and negotiate settlements while analyzing discovery, depositions, and medical records to assess claim value and risk exposure.
• Requires a Juris Doctor or LLM, at least 5 years of general/auto civil litigation experience, admission to practice law in Texas, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive driving standards.
• Compensation is $149,968–$164,800/year, plus a Gainshare annual cash incentive of up to 40% of eligible earnings; frequent driving and occasional travel are required.
