Job Description
• General Motors is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Senior Software Engineer for its Mapping Engineering team in Mountain View, CA; work mode is not specified.
• Design mapping algorithms and geospatial data models for automated reconstruction and maintenance of lanes, boundaries, road graphs, traffic controls, signs, and lane-level connectivity.
• Build distributed pipelines and production ML/computer-vision workflows using sensor-derived and third-party road data; implement quality, validation, and regression systems.
• Requires 3+ years of production software engineering experience substantially focused on mapping, geospatial, or geometric algorithms; proficiency in Python and C++; and a BS/MS in Computer Science, GIS, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Salary is $170,600.00–$261,300.00, with potential incentive compensation; full-time role in automotive autonomous-driving/mapping technology.
