Senior Manager, Data Science - US Card (Upmarket Segments)

Job Description

• Senior Manager-level data science role supporting Capital One’s US Card upmarket segments in the financial services and credit card industry; listed locations are Richmond, VA, McLean, VA, and New York, NY.
• Partners with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers; develops machine learning models through design, training, evaluation, validation, backtesting, and implementation.
• Uses Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, open-source programming languages, cloud computing platforms, and relational databases to analyze large-scale numeric and textual data.
• Requires a quantitative bachelor’s degree plus 7 years, quantitative master’s/MBA plus 5 years, or quantitative PhD plus 2 years of data analytics experience, along with at least 2 years each in large-scale open-source data analysis, machine learning, and relational databases.
• Full-time annual salary ranges from $209,000-$238,500 in Richmond, VA, $229,900-$262,400 in McLean, VA, and $250,800-$286,200 in New York, NY; part-time salaries are prorated and performance-based incentive compensation may apply.
