Senior Manager, Senior Counsel - Enterprise Data and Cyber

Job Description

• Senior Manager/Senior Counsel serving as Capital One’s data and cybersecurity business counsel within the Tech & Data Legal team.
• Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in person at an office in McLean, VA, New York, NY, or Richmond, VA; full-time or part-time employment is indicated, with part-time salaries prorated.
• Advises cybersecurity and eData stakeholders on incident response, technical risk, privacy, emerging technology, data governance, regulatory developments, disclosures, filings, and executive reporting.
• Requires a Juris Doctor, active membership in good standing of at least one state bar, and at least 4 years of attorney experience; 5+ years is preferred.
• Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a technology or data field, 2+ years with AI and product development, U.S. and global privacy advice experience, and knowledge of Section 1033 of the Dodd-Frank Act.
• Annual salary ranges are $200,700–$229,100 in McLean, VA; $219,000–$249,900 in New York, NY; and $182,500–$208,300 in Richmond, VA, plus possible performance-based incentives; Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization.
