Senior ML Engineer – MLOps & Mechanistic Interpretability

Job Description

• Senior ML Engineer at Equifax developing MLOps infrastructure and mechanistic interpretability/XAI tooling for next-generation, high-stakes credit risk engines in the financial services industry.
• Design scalable Transformer-based model deployment systems, MLOps pipelines, and systems that map latent embeddings to human-readable credit concepts for transparent, defensible, regulatory-compliant AI.
• Lead technical projects and engineering teams; define scope, establish technical vision and roadmaps, guide delivery, mentor colleagues, and promote software development best practices.
• Requires a BS in a STEM major or equivalent experience, 7+ years of related experience, proven team leadership, and end-to-end ML model development experience; a master’s degree, AI/ML coursework, and cloud certification are preferred.
• Hybrid role based in Alpharetta, GA: in-office Monday–Thursday and remote Friday; no current or future immigration sponsorship, including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.
