Senior Scientist, Molecular Biology and Antibody Discovery

Job Description

• Senior-level molecular biology and antibody discovery role within IDEXX's Reagent Discovery group in R&D, focused on veterinary health diagnostics in Westbrook, ME.
• Requires a PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Protein Engineering, or a related life science discipline plus two or more years of relevant post-doctoral or industry experience.
• Leads biological reagent development from sequence to validated reagent, including construct design, cloning, recombinant expression, antibody generation, screening, and hit confirmation.
• Directs protein and antibody characterization using SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA, analytical SEC, and BLI or SPR; applies in silico tools, AI, and laboratory automation where applicable.
• Provides scientific leadership, mentorship, cross-functional communication, project prioritization, technical reporting, and compliance with safety, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Full-time position; salary starts at $105,000 based on experience, with annual cash bonus opportunity.
