Senior Underwriting Consultant

Job Description

• Senior-level, full-time remote underwriting role open to candidates anywhere in the continental United States, with responsibility for the highest-financial-impact and most complex applications.
• Manage complex underwriting cases, audit applications and medical record summaries, and ensure decisions, correspondence and administrative processing comply with established guidelines and policies.
• Process formal underwriting appeals, complaints, fraud referrals and contestable claim reviews; conduct risk-assessment research and identify potential misrepresentation.
• Provide training, subject-matter expertise and guidance to junior underwriters and management while independently resolving workflow and systems issues.
• Requires a college degree or business equivalent and preferably 7 or more years of underwriting experience or exposure; salary is $92,475-$160,290 USD plus potential incentive compensation.
