Job Description
• Full-time SOC Analyst role supporting a federal government customer in Baltimore, MD, working in a Security Operations Center on a Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. shift.
• Provides 24/7/365 security-alert monitoring, triage, investigation, ticketing, anomaly validation, escalation, and incident documentation using ServiceNow and other SOC tools.
• Analyzes sensor, firewall, content-filtering, and SIEM logs; uses OSINT; models traffic and ports; creates and deploys intrusion-detection signatures; and produces contractual, ad hoc, and CISA reports.
• Requires 2–4 years of SOC or similar analyst experience, a high school diploma with cybersecurity training/certifications, and CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification with documented proof before employment.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust and live within a 2-hour commute of the designated SOC; BS/BA is preferred, with advanced cybersecurity certifications and a related bachelor's or master's degree considered advantageous.
