Social Science Research Scholar (1-Year Fixed Term) (Remote Opportunity)

Job Description

• Stanford University seeks a Social Science Research Scholar to lead quantitative analyses in Pascal Geldsetzer’s health research group.
• Conduct econometric and quasi-experimental research using cohort studies, electronic health records, mortality data, administrative datasets, randomized intervention studies, and clinical trial data.
• Supervise graduate and postdoctoral researchers, mentor junior researchers, write manuscripts and grant applications, and communicate with funders and data providers.
• Requires a doctoral degree with quantitative training or research experience, in-depth experience with regression discontinuity and difference-in-differences, and strong coding skills in R, Stata, or similar statistical software.
• Remote-eligible, 1-year fixed-term appointment that may be renewed; applications are accepted on an ongoing basis with no specific deadline.
