Job Description
• Provide ecological, student-centered social work services supporting academic, social, emotional, mental, and physical well-being in a K-12 school environment.
• Conduct psychosocial, developmental, adaptive-behavior, and classroom-observation assessments; prepare individualized reports with parent perspectives and educationally relevant recommendations.
• Develop prevention and intervention plans addressing attendance, achievement, behavior, social/emotional development, truancy, crisis response, and student safety.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling; coordinate community resources; consult with school personnel; advocate for student and family rights; and conduct parent conferences or home visits.
• Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, current Florida Department of Education School Social Work certification, valid Florida driver’s license, effective written/verbal communication, background screening, drug testing and fingerprinting.
