Software Engineer (L6) - Compute Runtime

Job Description

• Lead the Compute Runtime team’s charter and guide engineering work for Netflix’s internet-scale Cloud Compute infrastructure.
• Build and operate scalable, extensible compute platforms supporting Kubernetes data plane software, container runtime operations, container downloads/execution, and compute-node operating systems.
• Architect and implement large-scale distributed systems serving infrastructure at 100M+ user scale, with hands-on Kubernetes and Golang, Java, and/or Python experience.
• Drive platform adoption, operational excellence, incident response, on-call improvements, open-source engagement, and adoption of emerging architectures and services.
• Staff-level role requiring technical leadership, cross-functional partnership, strong written and verbal communication, ambiguity management, and effective prioritization.
