Job Description
• Fully remote, full-time Software Engineer role on Block's Privacy Engineering team, reporting to the Data Foundations Engineering Manager.
• Build internal products, services, and infrastructure that support data privacy initiatives and consumer privacy rights across Block's engineering ecosystem.
• Collaborate with product engineering, security, platform engineering, privacy counsel, legal, and other engineering teams to incorporate privacy technologies into solutions.
• Requires a minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, strong scalable/testable coding experience, and experience addressing security and privacy goals across services, infrastructure, or frameworks.
• Preferred experience includes privacy or security architecture, data governance, data-flow/access-control/risk analysis, and explaining complex technical concepts; compensation is $153,000-$270,000 USD depending on U.S. pay zone.
