Sr. Cyber Security Analyst

Job Description

• Sr. Cyber Security Analyst role with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in Charlotte, NC; full-time hybrid work model requiring residence within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to enterprise security alerts, incidents, suspicious activity, and complex threat activity within a global SOC environment.
• Lead root-cause and impact investigations, support containment and remediation, conduct threat hunting, and evaluate adversary TTPs using MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain methodologies.
• Improve detection coverage, monitoring and incident-response playbooks, security controls, visibility, false-positive reduction, automation, threat intelligence, purple teaming, digital forensics, and SOC maturity.
• Requires 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in SOC, CSIRT, DFIR, or incident response; certifications such as GCIH, GNFA, GCFA, CEH, OSCP, or CISSP are preferred.
