Job Description
• Senior individual-contributor role leading architecture and delivery for significant portions of Abbott's enterprise AI Platform in an onsite position at Abbott Park, IL.
• Requires 8–10 years of software, platform, distributed-systems, or infrastructure engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Designs AI platform capabilities including model gateways, GenAI runtimes, agent/model registries, evaluation pipelines, tracing, SDKs, and developer experience.
• Owns security, responsible-AI controls, observability, SLOs, incident response, root-cause analysis, resilience, and production platform governance, including PII/PHI, HIPAA, GxP, validation, and change-control considerations.
• Requires strong Python plus TypeScript, Go, or Java; Kubernetes/container orchestration, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, cloud services, secure SDLC, and production on-call experience.
• Full-time compensation is $129,300.00–$258,700.00.
