Staff Process Engineer

Job Description

• Staff-level, supervisory process engineering role developing and scaling rare-earth permanent magnet manufacturing processes from pilot-scale development through commissioning, qualification, ramp, and high-volume production in Durham, NC.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field plus 7+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience.
• Applies DoE, SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, capability analysis, ANOVA, regression, PFMEA, Control Plans, and structured problem-solving methods to improve FPY, scrap, rework, cycle time, OEE, throughput, and process capability.
• Requires U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; statistical-tool experience with Minitab or JMP and Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt are preferred.
• Full-time, Monday-Friday, 1st shift, on-site role with approximately 25% travel to equipment suppliers; salary is $100,000-$160,000 per year.
