Job Description
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable platform frameworks, developer tooling, and quality engineering solutions for PayPal's AI/ML platform.
• Set engineering standards for reliability, testability, developer productivity, CI/CD, automated testing, and platform reliability.
• Coordinate engineers, determine technical tasks, improve engineering processes, and resolve competing time, quality, complexity, and risk priorities.
• Requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination; preferred profile includes a BS/MS in Computer Science, 8+ years of software engineering experience, and 3+ years in platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Requires expertise with quality engineering, CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD, Java/Python/Go, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability, distributed systems, AI/ML platform engineering or MLOps, and financial-sector compliance and governance.
• Full-time hybrid role in San Jose, CA, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at the office or home workspace; salary is $176,500-$262,350 annually, plus potential bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation.
