Job Description
• Temporary, one-year, full-time fellowship placed within a state legislative office, committee, governor’s office, or state agency focused on energy, natural resources, economic development, infrastructure, or environmental policy.
• Conduct research and analysis on state energy, environmental, infrastructure, economic development, legislative, regulatory, and administrative policy matters.
• Draft policy memos, legislative summaries, briefing materials, talking points, correspondence, newsletters, and other written products.
• Monitor legislation, regulations, administrative actions, federal programs, funding opportunities, emerging technologies, and industry trends; provide recommendations on policy opportunities.
• Engage with policymakers, legislators, regulators, state agencies, utilities, industry groups, businesses, and other stakeholders, communicating complex technical and policy issues to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Requires a college degree, two to five years of related experience, knowledge of state government and policymaking, strong writing/research/analytical skills, authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, and interest in conservative clean energy policies.
