Job Description
• On-site Structural Welder role in West Jordan, UT, with Spherion for industrial manufacturing projects involving custom aluminum electrical-control-panel boxes and heavy-duty E-House frames.
• Execute TIG, MIG, FCAW, Arc, and oxy-fuel welds, including structural welding in 3G and 4G positions.
• Fabricate, measure, cut, and prepare 12-, 14-, and 16-gauge sheet metal plus 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch-wall heavy tubing from blueprints and technical drawings.
• Requires 1-4 years of experience, Trade education, successful completion of a hands-on FCAW weld test, blueprint-reading ability, metallurgy knowledge, and strong attention to detail.
• Requires standing for extended periods, repetitive lifting, handling heavy metal, steel-toed boots, and work around metalworking and welding fumes; pay is $21-$32/hour.
