Structures Estimator - Heavy Civil Construction

Job Description

• Mid-level, full-time Structures Estimator based in Kiewit's Westlake, TX office; on-site office role within the South Central District's Transportation market.
• Develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed cost estimates for heavy civil structures, including bridges, foundations, retaining walls, marine structures, culverts, concrete, and steel infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs; review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contracts; evaluate labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, supplier, production-rate, construction-method, and market costs.
• Solicit and level quotations, identify scope gaps and risks, conduct constructability and cost analyses, and support value engineering, bid strategies, proposals, presentations, schedules, procurement, and project turnover.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field (equivalent industry experience may be considered), 2+ years of relevant heavy civil experience, structural estimating experience, estimating software and quantity takeoff proficiency, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
