Summer 2027 Internship - Data Scientist

Job Description

• Data Scientist Intern role in the insurance industry, working collaboratively with business areas in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Predict risk, optimize customer retention, detect anomalies, and enhance process efficiencies using internal and third-party data.
• Gain hands-on experience with insurance risk, claims, and retention models; data visualization; generalized linear models; machine learning; and AI techniques.
• Must be pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or a Data Science-related major, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• In-office position in West Bend, WI or Madison, WI; no remote opportunities; requires Python, R, and SQL programming skills plus strong analytical, communication, time-management, independent-work, teamwork, and deadline-management abilities.
