Teacher, English Learner (ESL)

Job Description

• Serve as the English Learner instructional leader and implement school-wide Language Instruction Educational Plans (LIEPs) for identified English Learners in Charlotte, NC.
• Develop lesson plans and deliver individual and group ESL instruction using varied instructional methods, media, technology, and evidence-based strategies.
• Design, revise, and implement EL curriculum aligned with Federal, State, District, and CMS Strategic Plan goals; use data to improve programming.
• Collaborate with principals, classroom teachers, administrators, parents, and parent liaisons; support MTSS decisions, accommodations, family engagement, and school-home communication.
• Requires at least a bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Teaching English as a Second Language, Language Arts, a related field, or foreign equivalent; requires an NC ESL teaching license or eligibility for licensure, plus drug screen and background check consent.
