Teacher - Social Studies

Job Description

• Teach Social Studies using district-approved curriculum and Arizona State standards in Glendale, AZ, reporting to the Principal.
• Develop lesson plans, lead engaging learning activities, provide individualized and small-group instruction, and use assessments and data to guide instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain an environment supporting student academic engagement, physical safety, mental safety, and personal growth.
• Evaluate academic and social progress, maintain records, prepare progress reports, and communicate regularly with parents.
• Must obtain and maintain an appropriate Arizona Department of Education Teaching Certification and an Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Full-time, exempt role paid under the Certified Salary Schedule; no specific degree or years of experience are stated.
