Job Description

• Perform planned maintenance, electrical safety inspections, pre-acceptance inspections, and preventive-maintenance procedures on patient-care and support equipment in a hospital environment.
• Manage assigned equipment, service schedules, repair-part orders, equipment documentation, purchase-order logs, and invoice validation where applicable.
• Troubleshoot and resolve clinical-department equipment complaints while ensuring test equipment is properly calibrated and asset actions comply with department practices.
• Participate in quality improvement/risk management activities, provide informal equipment-user training, and communicate equipment strategies, technical updates, and problems.
• Requires an associate degree in electronics/biomedical equipment technology, military training, or equivalent experience; 1–3 years servicing clinical/patient-care equipment; and the ability to perform on-call duty. A valid driver’s license is required for field-service positions requiring travel.
