Technology Alignment Engineer (MSP - Onsite)

Job Description

• Full-time onsite Technology Alignment Engineer role with Modern IT in La Verne, CA; includes client visits generally within a 30-mile radius and an 8am-5pm PST schedule.
• Requires 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience in an MSP or equivalent environment, including LAN/WAN, servers, endpoints, RMM, security tooling, and personally performed proactive benchmarking work.
• Benchmarks client infrastructure against MSP and industry standards, documents risks and gaps, leads BDOS/EDOS meetings, and delivers client-facing recommendations tied to business value and ROI.
• Maintains technical documentation, SOPs, checklists, and standards; reduces reactive tickets and resolution times while identifying project opportunities for vCIO/TBR processes.
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, CompTIA Network+ or Security+ preferred, familiarity with compliance/auditing, and weekend on-call rotation participation; compensation is $80,000-$110,000 annually.
