Therapeutic Med Physicist

Job Description

• Full-time Therapeutic Med Physicist 1 supporting radiation oncology clinical operations at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Temple and Killeen clinics in a hybrid remote/on-site model, with coverage of other Central Texas clinics as needed.
• Perform and manage quality assurance for linear accelerators, brachytherapy systems, CT, and radiation treatment planning systems, including patient-related dosimetric measurements.
• Supervise therapeutic radiation treatments and computer-aided planning/calculations for external beam and brachytherapy.
• Requires a Master’s, DMP, or PhD in Medical Physics or a related field, Texas medical physicist licensure, eligibility for ABR Therapeutic Medical Physics board certification, and passage of ABR Part I.
• Requires less than 1 year of experience, independent clinical judgment, radiation oncology workflow knowledge, strong communication, and ability to work weekends when required.
