Job Description
• Full-time Trades Tech IV - Assistant Director role at Western State Hospital in Staunton, VA; on-site facilities and maintenance leadership position.
• Provide advanced supervision, training, technical expertise, and expert analysis for maintenance and construction systems across state facilities.
• Oversee general maintenance, electrical, HVAC, construction, plumbing, preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs, including contractor and inspector activities.
• Requires extensive building and grounds experience, facilities management experience, an acceptable driver’s record, and the ability to obtain a Virginia driver’s license within 30 days of starting.
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; an engineering degree and/or master-level certification/licensure is applicable, and Refrigerant Recovery Certification is an additional consideration.
• Salary range is $84,972–$97,718; applicants are subject to extensive background investigation, fingerprint and agency checks, and pre-employment drug screening.
