Job Description

• Underwrite, evaluate, price, and retain a portfolio of small to middle-market Commercial Lines renewal accounts within defined authority limits.
• Require 2 to 3 years of dedicated Commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience; the overview also states 3-4 years’ commercial multi-line renewal underwriting experience.
• Apply knowledge of Commercial Property, General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, and Excess/Umbrella policies.
• Analyze claims, financial stability, loss potential, agency reports, profitability trends, and book composition; issue renewal quotes and proposal packages.
• Manage broker and agency relationships, negotiate terms, process endorsements and cancellations, and comply with statutory laws, corporate guidelines, and internal checklists.
• Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, Business Administration, or a heavily quantitative field; equivalent industry experience and certifications may be considered.
