Job Description

• Full-time, regular Postdoctoral Scholar position with MUSC's Taniguchi Lab in Charleston, SC; 40 scheduled hours per week and work mode not specified.
• Design and conduct independent neuroscience research on experience-dependent gene expression, epigenetic regulation, DNA hybrid R-loops, chromatin regulation, and transcriptional mechanisms in mouse models.
• Perform molecular, cellular, genomic, behavioral, and in vivo neuroscience experiments, including gene expression analysis, chromatin assays, molecular cloning, immunohistochemistry, viral construct development, mouse behavioral studies, tissue collection, and stereotaxic surgery.
• Analyze data; prepare figures, abstracts, manuscripts, and grant applications; present findings; maintain records; troubleshoot procedures; and collaborate with investigators while training junior researchers and students.
• Requires computer literacy, ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license, respirator qualification initially and annually, and ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, isolated areas, and required physical conditions.
