Job Description
• Part-time, on-site Veterinary Assistant Locum role at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Westbury in Westbury, NY.
• Support veterinarians and technicians while creating a positive, low-stress environment for veterinary clients and patients.
• Maintain medical records, prepare surgical suites and patients, fill prescriptions, perform laboratory work, and assist with diagnostic imaging.
• Provide compassionate care, husbandry, hygiene, and support for boarded and hospitalized pets.
• Experience is preferred, but motivated candidates with an excellent work ethic may be considered; flexibility for nights, weekends, and some holidays is required.
• Compensation is $18.00-$22.00, dependent on experience and skill set.
