Job Description
• Full-time Welder role in Caterpillar's Operations organization and manufacturing/industrial equipment environment; location is listed only as United States.
• Operate robotic and manual MIG welding machines, perform weld-quality checks, and repair defective welds using grinders.
• Follow documented procedures and routings, use lifting devices for components over 35 lbs., and work prolonged or repetitive operations while supporting required overtime.
• Requires MIG welding experience, a welding trade certificate/diploma, or completion of a high school welding program within the last year; preferred candidates have 2+ years of welding/manufacturing employment and robotic welding experience.
• Must complete AWS D1.1 qualification tests during Caterpillar training and pass background, drug-screen, and medical-review requirements; pay is $24.34/hr entry rate for 2nd/3rd shift, with a stated range of $22.54-$28.20.
