Wind Millwright - Wake Repower Wind Project

Job Description

• Full-time Wind Millwright role for Mortenson's Wake Repower Wind Project in Floydada, TX; work is performed at the wind project site.
• Dismantle, erect, assemble, align, adjust, and maintain wind-turbine machinery and equipment using installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and drawings.
• Install nacelle, hub, and tower components; connect blades; set base and tower sections; assist with erection-crane assembly and teardown; and torque/tension bolted connections.
• Climb ladders averaging 80 meters and drill or tap holes on turbines, generators, compressors, and pumps; lifting over 50 lbs requires assistance or equipment.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of related experience preferred, a current driver's license, teamwork and communication skills, and current U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.
