Wind Technician (Any Level) - Pratt Wind in Pratt, KS

Job Description

• On-site Wind Technician role with NextEra Energy in Pratt, KS, supporting safe and optimal wind farm operations.
• Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, electrical/electronic/mechanical troubleshooting, component replacement, diagnostics, and hydraulic maintenance on wind turbines and associated power-generation equipment.
• Interprets schematics and fault reports, uses diagnostic tools, maintains service and power-generation records in computer databases, and monitors turbine performance through SCADA systems.
• Requires a High School diploma/GED, 0+ years of experience, a valid non-CDL driver’s license, ability to climb turbines up to 300 feet, and completion of a post-offer Functional Capacity Evaluation; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Full-time, non-exempt position requiring OSHA-compliant field work, safety reporting, training compliance, and attendance requirements.
