Wind Technician III (Entry Level) at North Sky River in Tehachapi, CA

Job Description

• Perform maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on wind turbines and associated electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment in a stationary, on-site Tehachapi, CA position.
• Execute Safety Management System procedures and field work in compliance with applicable OSHA regulations; work outdoors and at heights up to 300 feet.
• Interpret schematics and fault reports; use diagnostic tools, tablets, computer databases, and SCADA systems to monitor turbine performance and maintain power-generation reports and service logs.
• Requires a High School diploma/GED, 0+ years of experience, a valid non-CDL driver’s license, ability to climb a 300-foot wind turbine, and successful completion of a post-offer Functional Capacity Evaluation.
• Full-time, non-exempt role in renewable wind-power generation; estimated base pay is $51,200–$76,800 per year. Associate’s Degree preferred.
