Wind Technician - Limestone (TX14)

Job Description

• Maintain wind turbine operations, safety, quality control, required maintenance, and warranty repairs at the Limestone wind site in Dawson, TX.
• Perform maintenance, repair, replacement, troubleshooting, and diagnostic electrical analysis on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical turbine systems.
• Execute customer contract obligations and site activities while documenting work through computer-based service reporting procedures and coordinating with GE’s remote operations center.
• Requires a High School Diploma/GED plus a Technical Knowledge Assessment and either 1+ year of wind technician/mechanic experience, a Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift approximately 50 lbs and climb towers up to 300 feet daily, rotating shifts/on-call availability, and authorization to work in the United States; drug screening may apply.
