Job Description

• Entry-level Wind Turbine Blade Repair Apprentice in GEV Wind Power’s 2-year apprenticeship program, focused on renewable energy and composite fiberglass blade repair.
• Travel 100% across North America to operating and under-construction wind farms on an 8-week-on/1-week-off rotation; position is based in Amarillo, TX, with additional locations possible.
• Climb turbines up to 400 feet, operate vehicles, hoists, platforms, scaffolding, and tools, and assist journeyman technicians with fiberglass blade repairs.
• Perform grinding, sanding, cleaning, resin/epoxy/paint application, material handling, environmental storage and disposal, worksite housekeeping, and daily safety inspections.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, minimum age 21 for company-vehicle operation, satisfactory criminal record/MVR/drug screen, ability to lift up to 75 pounds and pass a fit-for-duty physical, respirator/PPE use, authorization to work in the US without sponsorship, and comfort working at heights and in extreme weather.
