Wind Turbine Technician - Tech One Program

Job Description

• Entry-level, full-time, on-site Wind Technician Level 1 role with Sky Climber Renewables in Rio Vista, CA, supporting preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance of wind turbine generator equipment.
• Perform mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, upgrades, repairs, component replacement, and machinery/tooling assembly and disassembly while following Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
• Requires a High School Diploma or GED, legal U.S. work authorization without sponsorship, valid driver's license and clear driving record, background check and drug screening, climb-preview completion, and ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree in a technical mechanical field or wind energy discipline, equivalent technical experience, mechanical or electrical experience, and ability to interpret basic diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Must climb 300+ ft. towers multiple times daily, work at heights and in confined spaces and all weather conditions, handle up to 50 lbs., meet the 300-lb. combined employee/PPE/gear fall-protection limit, and work holidays, weekends, overtime, and travel up to 25%.
